Keshi Elated As Naija Ratels Secure Super Six Playoff Spot


Naija Ratels head coach Samson Keshi has praised his players following Wednesday’s home draw against Bayelsa Queens.

The Abuja club were forced to a 0-0 draw by Whyte Ogbonda’s side at the Bwari Stadium in the last match of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, regular season.

Naija Ratels finished third on the Group A table, securing the ticket ahead FC Robo Queens.

Keshi declared that his side will strive to have a good outing in the Super Six playoff.

“I give my girls hundred percent praise because Bayelsa Queens are a very good side. I played them almost two to three times now and I know they are one of the best teams in the country,” Keshi told the club’s media.

“And for my girls to come out today with a point that surpass any other team to qualify them for the Super Six from my zone. So I thank my girls and I give them praises.

” I know the Super Six is going to be a different ball game. I promise to reach the finals of the Super Six,” Keshi added.

Holders Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, Nasarawa Amazons and Rivers Angels have all qualified for the Super Six playoff.

The season-ending tournament will hold at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

It will run from Thursday, 8 May to Sunday 17 May, 2025.

The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, with all six teams playing five matches each.
