Audrey Joe-Ezigbo honored with 2025 NOG Industry Women in Leadership Award for Outstanding Contributions to Gas Sector and Entrepreneurial Development

In a landmark recognition of her exemplary leadership and tireless advocacy for the advancement of the energy sector, Mrs. Audrey Joe-Ezigbo has been presented with the prestigious Nigerian Oil and Gas (NOG) Industry Women in Leadership Award for 2025. The accolade celebrates her remarkable contributions to entrepreneurial capacity building and her transformative impact on the Nigerian gas industry.

Mrs. Joe-Ezigbo, co-founder and Deputy Managing Director of Falcon Corporation, a leading indigenous midstream and downstream energy company, has leveraged over 31 years of experience to shape strategic leadership and growth in the sector. Under her stewardship, Falcon Corporation evolved from a modest oil services contractor in 1994 to a major player in Nigeria’s gas distribution, trading, and infrastructure build-out landscape.

Over the past twenty years, Audrey served in various capacities within the Nigerian Gas Association, culminating in her role as past President of the Nigerian Gas Association from 2018 to 2020. She remains the first woman to have held this position in the NGA’s over 25-year history. An unwavering industry advocate, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo has played a pivotal role in advancing industry policy and standards and fostering deeper collaboration between the public and private sector.

A Fellow of the Energy Institute, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo actively contributes to industry progress and professional development within the sector in various capacities. She is the current Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) and Vice Chair of the Chartered Institute of Directors (Nigeria)’s Energy & Power Committee. She is a member of the Governance Board of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG) Nigeria and serves as a Nigeria representative on the International Gas Union Exploration and Production Committee.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Mrs. Joe-Ezigbo is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment in the energy sector. She is a founding member of the Women in Energy Network (WiEN), member and global role model of the Women in LPG (WiNLPG) Nigeria chapter, consistently promoting gender inclusivity.

Her dedication to entrepreneurship extends to the broader African context, where she is committed to transforming SMEs into sustainable large corporates or multinationals. Audrey actively leverages her platforms for sharing life, and leadership insights and strategies to excel in business enterprises. She is a champion for strong governance, the building of robust institutions and nurturing leadership talent capable of competing on
a global scale.

Her leadership has been lauded with numerous accolades, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa Award, Lagos Business School Distinguished Alunmi Award, and listings among Leading Ladies Africa’s 100 Most Inspiring Women, PowerWoman 100 in Oil & Gas, top 100 Outstanding Female Executives in the African Oil and Gas Industry, Energy Trailblazer Award, NGA Excellence in Leadership Award.
