Boko Haram: Buni assures support to security agencies after Yobe village attacks

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has reiterated his commitment to support the security agencies following recent deadly attacks in the Gujba Local Government Area of the state.
Buni made the assurance today (Monday) when he received in audience the Acting Commander Sector 2 (Joint Task Force ( Northeast ) Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General BMG Martins, at the Government House, Damaturu
Buni assured the Acting Commander of support from the government and people of Yobe state for peace and security to reign across the state.
“The state government is committed to working with the security agencies for us to have a lasting peace and security across the state,” he assured.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the Acting Commander assuring him of the government and people’s support and cooperation.
Earlier, the Acting Commander solicited support from the people of the state.
“We are committed to instituting peace and security in the state and the entire region for the people to live in peace and pursue their legal means of livelihood”, Gen. Martins said.
Similarly, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Affairs, Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsala handed over an award presented to Governor Buni for his contributions to peacebuilding and development in Yobe state.
It would be recalled that last Saturday, the Islamic State of West African Province terrorists (ISWAP) overran and killed our soldiers at a military formation in Buni Gari in the Gujba council area of the state.
