Colidio, Driussi, Meza Score As River Plate
River Plate kicked off their campaign at the 2025 Club World Cup on a winning note after overcoming Urawa Red Diamonds 3-1 in Tuesday’s Group E game.
After dominating possession of the game, Colidio broke the deadlock in the 12th minute for River Plate with a clinical finish.

The Argentina club extended their lead to 2-0 in the 48th minute through Driussi before Matsuo’s penalty in the 58th minute to reduced the scoreline to 2-1.
However, River Plate took the game beyond Urawa Red Diamonds’ reach with Meza’s beautiful header from a corner kick to seal all three points for the team.
River Plate will next battle Monterrey on Saturday, while Urawa Red Diamonds confront Inter Milan.
