Funke Akindele Goes on Yoruba QnA Show Masoyinbo, Wins N30k, Vows to Come Back

Ace Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, was recently on the fast-rising language show on YouTube, Masoyinbo.

Olalekan Fabilola is the host of the show, Masoyinbo, and also a Yoruba teacher. Funke Akindele is one of the many other celebrities who have gone on the show, apart from the actress here are some of the many other celebs who have been on Masoyinbo; Saheed Osupa, Falz, Lateef Adedimeji, Shola Fosudo and many more.

Unlike Falz, Funke Akindele was able to leave the show with some cash. Though, like many other celebrities who have been on the show, the actress was caught code-mixing Yoruba with English several times.

Also, she found it difficult to answer some of the questions she was asked. The actress also struggled with her numbers in Yoruba.

Funke Akindele vows to be back

The record-breaking movie star noted during the show that she didn’t expect the show to be as challenging until she was on the hot seat. At some point, she refused to engage in other conversations outside the questions asked by the anchor.

Funke Akindele was caught saying “Okay” multiple times, “Sir” and “Sorry” during the show. These were all English words and not allowed.

The filmmaker even hailed the show host’s mastery of the Yoruba language and the use of it.
