Tacha Slams Nigerian Feminists For Being Mute Amidst Natasha Akpoti’s Senate Suspension
Reality TV star Anita Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha has voiced her disappointment at Nigerian feminists in the just concluded senate decision to suspend Senator Natasha Akpoti for six months for what is perceived to be a wrongful accusation against the senate president Godswill Akpabio on grounds of sexual harassment.

Taking to her Instagram page, Tacha accused Nigerian feminists for being quiet on a matter as important as senator Akpoti’s suspension from the senate, further calling them a “bunch of jokers”.
Tacha cites her reason for calling Nigerians unserious
The 29-year-old celebrity insists that Nigerians are not serious people. With the senate’s decision to unanimously suspend Akpoti there has been no protest by the citizens in a sensitive matter as sexual harassment. “If senator Natasha is lying, do you understand the gravity of that? it simply means that women can accuse any man of sexual harassment or rape and nothing will be done. It also means that men can sexually harass women or even rape women and nothing will be done, that’s how bad the situation is and yet you people are dancing around the whole issue.”
Tacha also lamented that Nigerian feminists did not lend their voices to what she believes is an unjust call by the senate. She claims that if it was a sex worker there would have been a national outcry from all feminists around the country.
The media personality also believes that women are not properly represented in public office. Citing the four female senators Nigeria has as compared to 105 male senators, Tacha believes more can be done.

The screen personality has aired her opinion for wanting more light to be shed on the details of the allegations.
She believes that the number three citizen of the country being dragged in such a case must be looked into in detail. Tacha is of the opinion that if Senator Akpoti is lying she must be properly dealt with. If her allegations are true then justice must be served.
Akide is of the opinion that if Senator Natasha Akpoti cannot be properly heard, then there is no hope for the average woman in Nigeria. “If a woman of that level is struggling to get justice, struggling to be heard then who am I?What is the fate of that 18-year-old girl in Ibadan, or of that 18-year-old in Delta?”
