President Tinubu was driven in a long convoy to the Government House, Kaduna, shortly after the usual airport ceremony, including the military guard of honour by the Nigerian Air Force band.

During the one-day visit, President Tinubu will commission the Institute of Skill Acquisition & Development at Riga Chukun, a 300-bed Specialist Hospital at Millennium Square and 100 CNG buses for intra-city transport.

He will be the special guest at a grand reception at Murtala Square.

The President had to reschedule the visit earlier slated for Wednesday, to enable him to visit Benue state, a hotbed of the recent attacks that left around 200 dead and hundreds more displaced.

As part of the visit, the State had witnessed a strong security presence, as operatives stepped up security across Kaduna metropolis, with temporary traffic diversions on Kawo Bridge and Independence Way from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The President is expected back in Abuja at the end of the one-day visit.
